The ability to serve the customers with knowledge of welding supplies and competitive prices and products has assisted the business to grow into the oldest independently owned welding supply company in Palm Beach County, Florida.

As our family grows, so grows our desire to offer more to our clients. Lake Welding Supplies, Inc. is moving forward, expanding our products and services, serving a larger customer base while remaining competitive in pricing. In fact, we’ll do whatever it takes to earn and keep your business!

Our team at Lake Welding Supplies, Inc. understands that growth in the welding supply business goes beyond gases and welding products. Cylinder hydro-testing and cleaning is a new venture for our family and we are excited about the potential of this new product.

Our History:
William H. Acree Jr. opened Lake welding Supplies, Inc. in Belle Glade, Florida in 1969 in response to the need for welding and industrial gas supplies in the Glades area. In November 1973, his son-in-law David Rimes, Sr. along with his wife Laura Rimes took over management and ownership of Lake Welding Supplies, Inc.

Throughout the 1970’s and 1980’s, David and Laura continued operating Lake Welding Supplies through the ups and downs, continuously learning from the successes and failures. Through the mid to late 1990’s their three sons, David L. Rimes, Jr., William D. Rimes, Sr. and Ronald H. Rimes became involved in Lake Welding Supplies, Inc., making it a true, family-run business.
In 2002, Lake Welding Supplies, Inc. purchased a retail welding and industrial gas store in West Palm Beach, Florida. Lake Welding Supplies, Inc. continues to own and operate their two stores (Belle Glade and West Palm Beach). The two store locations have permitted Lake Welding Supplies, Inc. to grow, expanding its services and coverage areas to better meet the needs of its customers.
